Swiftbarcode is a fully java based software for generating barcodes dynamically. The Software comes either as a java applet or as a java application. The java applet is just 18 KB (jar only 9 KB) in size and works with all major web browsers (JDK 1.1 compatible) and is very easy to integrate. The Swiftbarcode java application class allows server side integration for dynamic barcode generation, is Java 2 compliant and can be used within JSP or java servlets.

The Swiftbarcode software supports the most widely used barcode methodologies such as UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-13, EAN-8, JAN Codes, Bookland and UPC based extensions. In addition Swiftbarcode allows to define barcode width and height, barcode orientation, calculation of check digits and displaying or hiding the actual barcode data characters.
